DCH Launches Centralized Prior Authorization Portal

On February 1, 2017, DCH will implement a next phase to the Centralized Prior Authorization (PA) portal. This phase incorporates Outpatient Behavioral Health services for Care Management Organization (CMO) members. This continues DCH’s commitment to streamlining administrative processes through consistent processes across Medicaid payers.
This feature will provide a single point of entry for electronic submissions of CMO-related Outpatient Behavioral Health services. Please note that all Fee For Service (FFS) Behavioral Health Service PAs will continue to be processed through Beacon Health Options. All Inpatient Behavioral Health services, ACT, and IFI services for CMO members will continue to be requested through the CMO in which the member is enrolled.
In order to ensure that providers are properly trained on this new process, WebEx training will be offered during the following dates and times:

Web Portal, and provider reference manuals will be updated with PA entry instructions.
