V-Codes Reimbursement Changes

Effective November 1, 2015, Cenpatico will no longer reimburse for V-Codes when billed as the primary diagnosis. Per Medicaid and DBHDD regulations, in order to be considered for reimbursement, providers must bill behavioral health claims with a behavioral health diagnosis as the primary diagnosis. Billing with the appropriate behavioral health diagnosis will eliminate unnecessary claim denials and/or delayed reimbursements.
