Medicaid Taxonomy Changes

Cenpatico is committed to ensuring that services delivered to Peach State Health Plan members are being billed and reimbursed according to the Medicaid guidelines. Effective Monday, April 20, 2015 providers must bill with both the rendering provider’s Taxonomy Code and NPI in box 24J. In addition, providers must include an ID qualifier in box 24I for the Taxonomy Code, as well as the OPR (Ordering Prescribing Rendering) provider’s NPI number in box 17.
