Changes to Prior Authorization - On Hold

Cenpatico previously notified you of an upcoming change to the way that we cover behavioral health therapy services. In a communication dated June 1, 2016 we announced that effective August 1, 2016, Cenpatico would require certain therapy service requests exceeding a total of 12 visits per calendar year to require prior authorization in order to be reimbursed for more than 12 visits.
Today we are announcing that we have delayed the beginning date of this program until a date yet to be determined in order to assure that the transition proceeds smoothly. Additional notification will be provided in the coming weeks.
