Community Re-Entry

Our Community Re-Entry program coordinates services that support people as they discharge from correctional facilities and helps them reintegrate into their communities. About 2/3 of all inmates released from state and federal prisons end up back in jail within three years. The primary contributors to this trend are a lack of adequate treatment for their behavioral health or substance use disorders.

We offer pre-release behavioral health evaluations and referrals to appropriate resources. We follow up to ensure that ex-offenders attend their healthcare appointments and work to resolve barriers to receiving care.

Community Re-Entry programs work to reduce recidivism. Cenpatico® initiated a pilot of a Community Re-Entry program for adults in Arizona. At 90 days following release, 44% have been engaged in their first session, 41% were still in treatment, 10% were employed, and 61% had not re-offended.
