We are pleased to announce that Roy Van Tassell, MS, LPC, Clinical Supervisor and Trauma Specialist with the Child Trauma Center, Family & Children’s Services in Tulsa, Oklahoma has agreed to conduct this training.
Roy’s training experience includes participation in six Learning Collaboratives for TF-CBT, first as a participant team member from F&CS in the Breakthrough Series Collaborative, then as faculty for the NCTSN sponsored Western Learning Collaborative and recently in three separate collaborative initiatives with the University Of Tennessee Center Of Excellence for Children in State Custody with Vanderbilt University. He is was a recent faculty member and consultant for The Southern Regional Child Advocacy Center Learning Collaborative, this Collaborative is a con-joint project with the National Child Advocacy Center in Huntsville AL and The EPIC Center with Duke University. Roy also served as a co-trainer faculty for two advanced TF-CBT trainings with TF-CBT co-developer, Dr. Esther Deblinger.
Our goal is to bring this training to you, at no cost, to provide an opportunity for additional skills that will benefit children in the foster care system.
Friday and Saturday will begin at 8:30am. This location is easy to access and convenient to local restaurants, hotels and the airport. Anticipate staying until 5:00pm on Friday and at least 4:30pm on Saturday.
At the end of the day on Saturday, we will provide you with your CEU and training certificates as well as ask that you fill out an evaluation form.
I will also provide you with a Trauma Informed Care (TIC) Specialty Provider Network Application. Upon completion of this training, you are qualified to be listed as a TIC Specialty Provider. We share this designation with those looking for trauma oriented therapeutic services statewide.
