Cenpatico® seeks to ensure that every member receives services in the most culturally sensitive environment possible. We have partnered with organizations such as Relias Learning (E-Learning), an online educational tool for our providers, and Language Service Associates (LSA),to offer interpreter services for in-person visits.
Through our association with LSA, Cenpatico® Physician Office Interpretation Service has provided our members with referrals to see behavioral health providers fluent in 11 different languages, including American Sign Language, Arabic, Burmese, Haitian Creole, Hindi, Karen, Mandarin, Nepali, Portuguese, Spanish and Vietnamese.
Additionally, through our Telephone Interpretation Service, we have provided translation services for members speaking 27 languages and dialects other than English and Spanish. These languages and dialects include Amharic, Cambodian, Cantonese, Cape Verdean Creole, Chin, Dinka, Ewe, French, Polish, Portuguese Creole, Punjabi, Russian, Serbian, Serbo-Croatian, Somali, and more.
Our Cultural Competency Plan has developed a variety of initiatives that will help us accomplish our goal of supporting the creation of a culturally competent behavioral health system of care that embraces and supports individual differences to achieve the best possible outcomes for individuals receiving services.
