Please be advised that for dates of services on and after April 1, 2016, Mass Health will no longer consider CPT Code S9484 for Crisis Intervention Services a reimbursable code. Behavior health providers should begin billing with CPT code S9485 immediately. Failure to comply with these changes may result in claims processing denials.
Effective October 5, 2015 all behavioral health providers interested in joining the Cenpatico network will need to initiate the credentialing and contracting process by visiting www.cenpatico.com.
Effective October 1, 2015, Cenpatico will no longer require pre-authorization for at least 14 consecutive days for acute treatment and stabilization services (ASAM Levels 4, 3.7 & 3.5).

Cenpatico recently notified you of a requirement to submit the Rendering Provider in Box 24J on a CMS-1500 claim form. The notification also requested provider rosters.
Cenpatico has made a decision to revert back to billing requirements prior to the requested Sept. 1, 2015 changes. This was a result of additional research, as well as, input and questions received from our provider community.
Effective immediately, YOU ARE NOT REQUIRED to submit the Rendering Provider NPI in Box 24J on a CMS-1500 claim form. You should submit claims as you were prior to September 1, 2015.
As of January 1, 2016 , All Home Health Services for Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy for Celticare Health members will be authorized through Cenpatico Specialty Therapy and Rehab Services. Providers will continue to get the first 6 visits (1 evaluation and up to 5 treatments) by providing notification. All subsequent requests for additional visits require prior authorization and will be approved per medical necessity.
Cenpatico is pleased to announce the Secure Provider Portal web authorization submissions will be enhanced in order to streamline the web authorization process. The enhancement is tentatively effective August 21, 2015. This new functionality supports web authorization submissions via mobile devices. Cenpatico will be offering dedicated webinar training for this new functionality.
